Tim J. Gabel

President and Chief Executive Officer, RTI International

  • Tim J. Gabel is RTI International’s president and chief executive officer, overseeing an institute with annual revenues of approximately $1.3 billion and 6,000 worldwide staff members supporting projects in more than 93 countries. Mr. Gabel became CEO in 2022, having served the previous 10 years as executive vice president of Social, Statistical, and Environmental Sciences, the largest business unit within RTI. A long-tenured RTI employee, Mr. Gabel has served at every level of RTI leadership, guiding various divisions and operating units to grow by maintaining a focus on operational excellence, client centricity, and innovation.

    Mr. Gabel is a member of the American Statistical Association, American Association for Public Opinion Research, and American Public Health Association. He has adjunct academic appointments at the University of Wyoming and the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Over the course of his career Mr. Gabel has contributed to books, articles and technical reports on a variety of research topics, including most recently co-editing the book The Essential Role of Language in Survey Research, published in 2020 by RTI Press. Mr. Gabel serves his community in a variety of volunteer roles, including board member for Research Triangle Foundation of North Carolina, Tocqueville Society member of the United Way of Alamance County, and member of the Board of Visitors for the University of Wyoming College of Arts & Sciences.

Patricia K. Keul

Operations Director, DisabilityIN NC

  • Patricia K. Keul is a nationally recognized innovator and leader with over 30 years of experience developing and managing inclusive disability employment services. As the Operations Director for DisabilityIN North Carolina, Pat collaborates with leadership, businesses, and stakeholders to create, grow, and expand programs that enhance disability inclusion and equality across the state.

    Bringing her extensive nonprofit experience, Pat partners with businesses to connect them with resources and talent through Disability:IN NC's signature programs. She also directs the InRoads to Employment Initiative, a three-year project funded by the North Carolina Council on Developmental Disabilities. In this role, Pat works to identify best practices in disability employment services and build a collaborative infrastructure involving businesses, employment agencies, schools, and individuals with disabilities—driving employment opportunities and fostering champions for inclusion.

Russ Campbell

Director of Communication, Burroughs Wellcome Fund
